From USA Today...
Here's a touching story with a tie to a former Idol:
When hockey-loving 15-year-old Mike Fisher collapsed and died suddenly during roller-hockey practice Sept. 24 in New Jersey, the teen's family contacted the Ottawa Senators and asked if Sens center Mike Fisher (who's married to Carrie Underwood) might send an autographed photo that they could display at the funeral.
Because the Senators were on the road, the photo didn't arrive in time for the funeral, but when the family returned home from the service, they found a package on their doorstep containing a photo with the inscription, "From one Fish to another. Many blessings."
"It was a sad, sad story," the Senators' Fisher told the Ottawa Citizen Wednesday. "There aren't too many Mike Fishers playing hockey out there."
No wonder Carrie Underwood says her husband "makes me a better person."
