Carrie Underwood plays doctor on the cover of WebMD

Fresh of her honeymoon with NHL star Mike Fisher, Carrie Underwood rejoins the world in which she is a country music icon. Underwood, while continuing her “Play-On” tour and live performances at various morning shows
, is taking time out to promote health.

Carrie, while she is no stranger to being on the cover of magazines, is doing something she has never done before. Underwood will now be on the cover of WebMD magazine, a national publication that can be found at your very own Doctors office.

WebMD will not only feature Carrie on the cover but will go in-depth with the country superstar to find out how she stays healthy
both on and off the road. Carrie reveals to us how she manages the stress of live performances and constant interaction with millions of fans. A few keys to her health are naps, obsessive hand washing, workouts and eating properly. Underwood states: “If I don’t know what’s in it, I don’t eat it.”

The future of Carrie Underwood’s success does strongly depend on how she takes care of herself on a daily basis. A sick country superstar cannot perform at her maximum potential and might in fact get left in the dust. I think that is why Carrie takes her health as serious as she does. It is only fitting for Underwood to be on the cover of WebMD and share the secrets to her healthy life.

Carrie Underwood in Love

“Do not look at me!” Carrie Underwood orders a small group of onlookers as she struts past. “What did I tell you? Don’t look at the artist!”

We’re backstage at Live with Regis and Kelly, watching Carrie do her best impression of a bitchy celebrity — the key word being impression. She’s actually joking around with guys in her band, who crack up as she walks by in a purple cocktail dress and a pair of strappy black heels that look like what Victoria Beckham would wear if she moonlighted as a dominatrix. And yet even in that outfit, Carrie looks totally approachable.

It’s a quality she was sort of born with. “An Oklahoma girl like me wouldn’t even know how to be a diva,” she explains. “I’m just a person who has a cool job. I love to be at home. I rarely go to clubs…and I always wear underwear! I just know I’d fall down, and that’s not for everyone to see.”

Once she’s onstage chatting, Regis surprises Carrie with a picture of her fiancé, pro hockey player Mike Fisher, and refers to him as her “good-looking brute.” Thing is, in addition to being one of the most down-to-earth celebs we’ve ever met, Carrie is also one of the most guarded…especially about her love life. She doesn’t lose her smile or sense of humor when she sees the photo — “Don’t know who that is,” she mutters — but when she’s asked about Mike, Carrie basically talks about nothing more than hockey.

Regis let her off way too easy.

New Carrie Underwood Interview

Carrie Underwood: What I've Learned

From Esquire.com...

The 26-year-old country star's lessons from Simon Cowell, Tony Romo, American Idol, and the dirty basements of stardom

I was so nervous when I was on my way to L. A. I'd never been on a plane, and I was going alone. I kind of got teary-eyed. My dad was driving, and he said, "If you want to go home, we can go home, and you never have to think about this again." And I thought, If I don't go, I'm choosing for this not to happen. It will be my choice. So I figured it would be easier for me to get kicked off American Idol than to have it be my own decision.

I've learned the most throughout my life from age twenty-two till now.

As you step off that stage, you're pretty much alone.

My cell phone is my best friend. It's my lifeline to the outside world.

There's no handbook.

People can take your words and make them into something awful and something you never meant it to be.

Her Way: Carrie Underwood
Carrie Underwood is so unpretentious that while she's traveling, she finds a local laundromat and does her own laundry. "Domestic chores make me feel at home," she explains, and that down-to-earth sensibility extends to fashion, too. Underwood spends so much time on the road touring that she's had to distill her style when she's out of the public eye into one category: comfortable. "I love dressing up when I'm in front of a crowd, but in my downtime, nothing beats a great pair of sweats."

Carrie will grace the December 2009 cover of Lucky.

Carrie Underwood featured on the cover of Country Weekly magazine

Carrie is featured on the cover of the Nov. 9 issue of Country Weekly, on sale now.

In a story titled “Carrie Underwood: What Makes Me Cry,” the Oklahoma native talks with the magazine about her beau, forgiveness, her new music, long-term goals and what makes her tear up.

She tells the magazine that her boyfriend, NHL hockey star Mike Fisher, exhibits the “cowboy” traits she likes in a man.

“When I think of cowboys, I don’t just go stereotypical hats and boots and Wranglers,” she tells Country Weekly. “I think of somebody who’s very strong, and kinda quiet and has this confidence about them. Something that’s very sexy and not overstated.”
