Carrie Underwood to join Randy Travis on his 25th Anniversary Duets Album

(RTTNews) - Randy Travis has unveiled plans to compile a bunch of his classic hits for a 25th anniversary album and will record some of them as duets. Some of the other artists who will be joining him on the album include Tim McGraw, Carrie Underwood, Alan Jackson, Josh Turner and many more of country's big names.

Famous songs such as "Diggin' Up Bones" will be a part of the album, which Travis has re-recorded with his buddy John Anderson. Along with the older favorites, the country legend will also be unveiling some new songs.

Travis has been in the studio a lot this year and says he has stumbled upon a few surprises while working with the older songs.

"I didn't know this," Randy told the Wilkes-Barre Weekender, "but when it was written, there was actually a third verse to the song. We added that on the record, and it's hilarious!"

The album is scheduled for release in early 2011.
