We’re excited to report that Carrie Underwood — one of our favorite eco/veggie gals — has been nominated for a 2010 Inspirational Country Music Award. The award ceremony celebrates artists who perform music inspired by faith, family, and country.
Besides being a rockstar (literally), Carrie is all about giving back. The singer regularly takes part in Idol Gives Back, donates money to animal shelters, and even bought instruments for her hometown school district. Pretty inspirational to us!
Love and Theft, The Roys, and 2009 ICM Entertainer of the Year CrossCountry The Band are all confirmed to perform on the award show, which will be hosted by Inside Edition correspondent Megan Alexander.
The event will take place at the Trinity Music City USA Auditorium in Hendersonville, Tennessee on October 14. Tickets are $45.00 and a portion of the sales will go to Soles4Souls — an international charity that donates new and gently used shoes to people in need.
